Recreation & Culture

King City Residents are able to enjoy a number of sporting activities: Baseball, Bicycling, Hiking, Hockey, Skating, Soccer, Tennis. The Parks Recreation and Culture department of King Township offers a wide variety of programming for all ages throughout the year. 

Throughout the year, community groups organize a variety of social events, such as: musical events, charity events, sporting tournaments.  Local business owners organized and sponsored the event for local residents and visitors. Highlights included: live music, fresh corn, pumpkin carving, pony rides, jumping castles, ice cream vendor and children’s activities.

Residents and visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the countryside by hiking or biking on the trails located in King City. The entrance to the hiking trails is located on the west side of Keele Street, north of King Road. Mountain Bike Trails can be accessed from the east side of Jane Street, north of the 16th Sideroad at Centennial Park.
