Neighbourhood Watch seminar

We're pleased to announce that, in partnership with York Regional Police (YRP), King Township will be hosting an information session on Dec. 4 on how to protect your home or business from break-ins.
YRP reports that there has been an increase in the number of break-ins in the municipalities south of King Township. Due to this, YRP and King Township will hold an information seminar so that you can protect better yourself, your loved ones and your belongings. It will be held on Tues., Dec. 4 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the council chambers of our new municipal office at 2585 King Rd.
After the presentation is complete, YRP representatives will be happy to answer any questions that you might have.

Neighbourhood Watch program

​Neighbourhood Watch reduces crime through the active participation of citizens in crime prevention. It involves working with your neighbours to prevent crime - before it starts. 
Few people are in a position to protect their homes and property all of the time and the Neighbourhood Watch program can help to provide a sense of security by encouraging neighbours to keep an eye on each other's property and reporting suspicious activity. The program also helps to co-ordinate the efforts of the police and the community in tracking down criminals.
