Summary: Noise is regulated by the Township's Noise By-law. The by-law includes both general restrictions on certain types of noise as well as time-based restrictions for certain activities. If you are looking to have a large get-together such as a wedding or birthday party, or you intend to perform construction activities you are encouraged to apply for a noise exemption. Fees: $50.00 (tax exempt)
Ontario Regulation 131/20 made under the Municipal Acttemporarily allows noise from construction activity related to the healthcare sector may take place at any time of the day or night. Construction related noise is also temporarily allowed to take place between the hours of 6:00am to 10:00pm. If you intend to perform construction not related to the healthcare sector please contact the Clerk's Department to see if you need a noise exemption.
