The Township of King is committed to making recreational programs and services accessible to individuals of all abilities to better support the needs of families in King. The Township offers the following inclusion services:
Adapted programs: Adapted programming includes modified environments with smaller group sizes and increased group supervision, activities adapted to individual needs and goals.
1:1 inclusion support for children who require extra support to participate in a recreation program, camp or swim lesson, pending staff availability
Skating aids are welcome during the following Township of King skate programs:
- Parent & Tot
- 55+ Skate
- Public Skates

National Accessibility Week: Sensory Skate & Swim
Come celebrate National Accessibility Week with a Sensory Skate and Swim! Participants can try either activity and activities will have reduced capacitates and lower-level music in the pool area. Please note, if participating on the ice, all participants are required to wear CSA-approved helmet with face cage, protective gloves, long pants and closed-toed footwear.

Time: 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. (DROP-IN)
Sensory Swim - 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Sensory Skate - 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
