Signs have been installed around King to help alert motorists to keep an eye out for turtles crossing the road.
Transportation Services installed the signs at the beginning of May.
Nine signs have been installed on the 7th and 8th Concessions, the 15th and 19th Sideroads and Pumphouse Road.
Staff are prepared to add more signs as required.
Turtles are listed as a species of concern by both the provincial and federal governments.
