Neighbourhood Watch Program
Neighbourhood Watch reduces crime through the active participation of citizens in crime prevention. It involves working with your neighbours to prevent crime - before it starts.
Few people are in a position to protect their homes and property all of the time and the Neighbourhood Watch program can help to provide a sense of security by encouraging neighbours to keep an eye on each other's property and reporting suspicious activity. The program also helps to co-ordinate the efforts of the police and the community in tracking down criminals. Neighbourhood Watch is supported by York Regional Police.
If you are interested in obtaining more information about Neighbourhood Watch, please email neighbourhoodwatch@yrp.ca with the following information:
- Name and address
- Contact information
- Best time to contact you (morning/afternoon/evening)
An officer will reply as soon as possible.
