June is Recreation and Parks Month
Each June, communities across Ontario celebrate June is Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM). Organized by Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO), JRPM is recognized by municipalities, community organizations, and schools as a way of promoting the benefits recreation and parks have on physical, social and environmental health.
This year's theme “Every Journey Belongs” focuses on the importance of spaces where people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds can connect, grow and thrive.
Join King Township for 30 action packed days of recreational activities for all ages at community centres and parks.

The PLAY Program is for children ages four to 18 and single parents. The funding is available in the fall, winter, spring and summer through York Region.
