York Region is making road improvements to Highway 11 from Green Lane to the Bradford Boundary in the Town of East Gwillimbury and King Township to ensure safe and efficient travel. Crews will be paving, replacing storm sewers and catch basins, building a multi-use path and making intersection improvements. Starting in June, lanes will be reduced Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and during weeknights from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for major works such as paving.
This is the first phase of construction which is expected to be completed in October 2024. Phase two will see the reconstruction of Highway 11 from Bathurst Street to Morning Sideroad and is expected to start in 2025.
