King’s new, interactive Fall Recreation Guide is now available online

Registration opens at 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19

Township of King, Ont. King Township is ‘leafing’ summer behind and falling into fun, with a full lineup of recreation programs planned for the autumn season. From fencing 101, different dance styles to themed art workshops, spooky crafts and cookies with Santa, there is something for everyone! 

The full listing of programs can be viewed in the redesigned 2024 Fall Recreation Guide, now available online at king.ca/recreation.

Registration for fall recreation programs and winter break camps opens at 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19 at townshipofking.perfectmind.com. The Township’s online recreation registration system is conveniently available 24/7 and allows you to search for programs by day of the week, age, location and area of interest. The interactive, page-flipping guide features direct program links to online registration, making the registration process quick and easy. Registration can also be completed in-person at the Trisan Centre or the King Township Municipal Centre.

Programming begins the week of September 16 at recreation facilities across the Township. Highlights include:

All Ages & Family: bird watching, guided hikes, disc golf, snowshoeing, holiday crafts

P.A. Day & Winter Break Camps: sports, games, crafts, outdoor play  

Preschoolballet, gymnastics, multi-sports, paint, clay, collage, and sensory crafts

Children and Youthdance, archery, robotics, coding, fencing, mixed-media art, adapted gymnastics, and sports

Adultlife drawing, Nordic pole walking, line dancing, and sports leagues: volleyball and pickleball

Older Adults: Programming for seniors ages 55 years and older is delivered in partnership with the King Township Seniors Board. A membership gives access to workshops delivered by local businesses and community groups, as well as a range of activities, from euchre, bridge, board games and carpet bowling, to painting, dancing, knitting and social events. Can’t commit to a full program? The Township also offers a variety of drop-in programming, ranging from arts, sports, skating and a parent and child playgroup. Schedules can be found at king.ca/DropInPrograms.
