Repairs being made to the slope on the south side of King Road west of Weston Road, in the Township of King, are now anticipated to begin in early January 2023 and be complete in March 2023.
Work will occur on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During these hours, the road will remain open to through traffic; however, for safety and to expedite construction, King Road will be reduced to one-lane when construction is underway. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be directed onto the remaining north lane of King Road during working hours, and access to homes and businesses will be maintained.
In addition, a full road closure of King Road is required for three consecutive weekends in January, from Friday at 9 a.m. to Monday at 4 a.m., to accommodate the equipment needed to complete construction. These three weekends will be in the early phases of construction. On-street signs will provide travellers with construction updates and road closure information.
