Township of King, Ont. — Calling all local chefs, caterers, beverage makers and restaurants! King Township is inviting the best food and beverage vendors in the area to participate in Kingtoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Cold Creek Conservation Area in Nobleton. The deadline to submit a vendor application is September 10.
The essence of Oktoberfest meets the natural beauty of Cold Creek Conservation Area at the Township’s first-ever festival for ages 19+. The evening will feature non-stop entertainment where guests can immerse in the lively rhythms of polka music, marvel at the athleticism and precision of authentic Schuh platter dancers, rock out to German rock and cover bands, and enjoy traditional games and activities. All while savouring the flavours of Germany, from delicious bratwursts, pretzels and schnitzels to a wide selection of German beers and beverages.
Interested in celebrating German culture with King Township at Kingtoberfest? We are currently seeking vendors in the following categories:
- Food vendors: German cuisine including bratwursts, pretzels, schnitzels and soup as well as desserts like gingerbread cookies. Inclusive dietary options: gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan.
- Beverage vendors: German beers (e.g., Augustiner, Hacker-Pschorr, Löwenbräu, Paulaner, Spaten, Hofbräuhaus, etc.) wine, cider, coolers and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Merchandise vendors: German-themed merchandise, festival gear and crafts.
- Activity vendors: Traditional games and interactive experiences.
Food and drink booth vendors get a 10x10 foot space at the event venue. Food trucks will also be accommodated. The vendor fee is $263, which includes a fee of $100 (plus HST) and a $150 deposit, which will be refunded after the event. How to apply to be a vendor
Visit king.ca/kingtoberfest to download the vendor package. Vendor space at this event is limited. To be considered, complete the vendor application form and email, along with a sample menu, to events@king.ca by Tuesday, Sept. 10. The Township’s events team will review all applications and notify successful applicants within one week.
