Collaborative Application Preparation (CAP) Form

MINOR CAP (Pre-consultation) Proposal: $550.00 each 

Any pre-consultation meeting which does not require external agencies, other departments (i.e. requires only Township Planning staff in attendance)

• Residential: the creation of up to 3 lots/units; and/or 
• Non-residential: alterations/expansions of existing buildings, parking, uses, etc.; new development less than 300 square metres gross floor area and/or,
• Change in use with no new site development

MAJOR CAP (Pre-consultation) Proposal: $900.00 each

Any pre-consultation meeting which will require external agencies, other departments (i.e. Conservation Authority, Region of York, Ministry etc)

• Residential: the creation of 4 lots/units or more; and/or 
• Non-residential: new development greater than 300 square metres gross floor area and/or,
• Change in use which includes new site development

  Please Note:     An incomplete submission may result in the delay of the processing of your application. Once in receipt of all required documents (as detailed on the pre-consultation form), your file shall be assigned to a    Planner who will be in contact as soon as possible to schedule a meeting.

The formal submission of your application should occur after your pre-consultation meeting has taken place, and at the direction of the Planner reviewing your file. Additional documents, studies and reports may be requested at this time.

Fees are taken in a 3 stage process, as detailed below:

*Please note any fees over $10,000 will require processing via cheque (payable to the Township of King) and is to be dropped off in the self-serve area located on the East Wing of the Township Municipal Centre located at 2585 King Road, King City, ON from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The online system will be unable to process any fees larger than $10,000.00.

Instructions

Planning Act applications can be retrieved via the Forms and Applications section of the website. Please use the drop down menu bar or search function for the type of form you wish to obtain. 

A complete application shall consist of the following:

1. Completed application form including the completion of the site screening questionnaire (page 4 and 5 of the application form)

Please visit the Zoning By-laws and Official Plan pages to fill in the application forms.

2.  Signatures of Agent/Owner and as witnessed by another person to solemnly declare that the information contained in this application, attachments, and accompanying reports are true, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing it to be true and knowing that it is the same force and effect as if made under oath, and by virtue of “The Canada Evidence Act”.

3. Location map (to show context of the subject property)

4. All documents, reports, plans and information as deemed required in discussion with the Planner. As different types of projects will require different types of materials, we recommend that you contact us at plnsubmissions@king.ca to identify the materials to be provided along with your application. 

To submit an application, we are currently only taking electronic submissions. Please send an email to plnsubmissions@king.ca with a link (i.e. dropbox, google drive, etc) for us to download and retrieve the document materials.
