King Environmental Action Team

Welcome to the King Environmental Action Team (K.E.A.T.) landing page.
 

We are a group of King Community Services Staff members, residents, schools and community groups dedicated to making the Township of King more environmentally sustainable through hands on actions within the community.

2024 marks the first year of KEAT. We look forward to making a meaningful impact within the Township of King through effective stewardship and responsible environmental actions. 

Among a host of other actions, K.E.A.T. will undertake local community focused activities such as: 

• Tree Planting 

• Community Clean-Ups 

• Guided Hikes 

• Invasive Species identification and removal 

• Cycling Initiatives 

• Represent K.E.A.T. at events Township wide  Look for funding opportunities 

• Environmental Workshop Development 

• Others
