The Indigenous Action Committee, King Heritage & Culture Centre and the Township of King present the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day Gathering.
Join us for a meaningful evening of Indigenous speakers, traditional drumming and signing, traditional dancing, food, crafts and more. View the collection of Indigenous artifacts and learn its history.
All participants are encouraged to wear Orange Shirts in recognition of the lives lost at residential schools across Canada Day. Orange shirts and sweaters will also be available for purchase and all proceeds will be going to the Orange Shirt Society and the Indian Residential School Survivor Society!
All are welcome at this Free event.
Parking is limited at the King Heritage and Culture Centre, please park at the King Township Municipal Centre, 2585 King Road and use the shuttle service.
