King Township’s Youth Opportunity Fair is set to take place on Thursday, April 10 at the Zancor Centre and is an excellent platform for local businesses, community groups, colleges and universities to showcase their programs and services to high school students.
Hosted by the Mayor’s Youth Action Team, the event will run from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of activities and opportunities aimed at youth. In addition to the vendor booths, the fair will feature free drop-in sports, food and beverages and door prizes for attendees.
Vendors are invited to take part free of charge, with spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Vendors will receive an area to showcase their youth services and opportunities with tables and chairs provided by King.
Opportunities for vendors include a unique marketing event to showcase their organization or community group. Participants will have their name or logo featured on event advertising materials and the Mayor’s Youth Action Team’s Instagram page. Additionally, vendors will have the chance for personal interaction with attendees, including potential student employees, volunteers and new organization members. More than 130 students and parents attended last year’s event.
To apply to be a vendor, use the online form here. Applications are due by Feb. 28 at 4:30 p.m.
