Residents and visitors to King Township are advised of upcoming road construction on Kettleby Road. This major project will involve a full reconstruction of approximately 700 metres of roadway, spanning from #500 Kettleby Road to #265 Kettleby Road. The work is part of the Township's ongoing efforts to improve local infrastructure and ensure safer, more efficient travel.
Project details:
The scope of the work includes:
- Full road reconstruction
- Removal, replacement and extension of the storm sewer system
- Boulevard re-grading, including the installation of new curb, gutter and splash strip
Construction timeline:
The project will be completed over two phases:
- Phase 1: September 2024 to December 2024
- Phase 2: May 2025 to July 2025
During this time, crews will work diligently to complete the project with minimal disruption.
Impact on travel:
While the road will remain open to through traffic, lane closures will be required from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Travelers should expect delays during these hours, and are encouraged to plan accordingly. However, access to homes and businesses along Kettleby Road will be maintained throughout the construction period.
The Township will provide advance notice of any significant changes to the schedule or construction activities whenever possible.
