Residents can do business online or in-person at the King Township Municipal Centre

Township of King, Ont. Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, which began on Friday, Nov. 15, mail service to and from King Township is delayed. This includes, but is not limited to, the issuance of water bills, marriage licenses, public planning and heritage notices and by-law infractions.

Residents can continue to do business with the Township in-person, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the King Township Municipal Centre, located at 2545 King Road, or online 24/7 at king.ca/OnlineServices.

The following direct mail items have been delayed due to the strike:

  • Water bills: The mailing of the water bill due on December 18 (for the period of September to October) is delayed. To avoid missing their payment, residents are encouraged to register for eBilling to receive their water bill directly via email and enroll in the Pre-Authorized Debit Program (PAD) for automatic withdrawals. For more information, including links to enrolment, visit king.ca/WaterBilling.

Alternate options for water bill payments:

  • Call to get the amount you owe over the phone.
  • Pick up a print copy of your water bill at the King Township Municipal Centre (free of charge).
  • Email serviceking@king.ca to receive a copy of your bill via email.
  • 2025 Waste Calendar: The waste calendar is typically mailed to residents in early December. Residents can download a PDF of the waste calendar online at king.ca/waste. For questions about waste removal, contact GFL at 1-866-421-5625 or email WasteLine@gflenv.com.
  • Winter maintenance flyer: The winter maintenance flyer is typically mailed to residents in late November and includes information on snow removal in King, including how the Township prioritizes streets and sidewalks. Both the 2025 waste calendar and winter maintenance flyer will be mailed to residents once Canada Post service resumes.

Tags may also be purchased at the Trisan Centre in Schomberg or any of the four King Township Public Library branches as a walk-in purchase.
