King Township has ended the Significant Weather Event declared in response to the extreme winter conditions that began Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025. Municipalities may declare a Significant Weather Event when a weather hazard, either forecasted or occurring, has the potential to pose a significant danger to users of the roadways in that municipality. Weather hazards include freezing rain, significant snowfall, strong winds, blowing snow, and reduced visibility.

King Township would like to thank all residents, businesses, and visitors for their patience and cooperation as our roads crew worked around the clock for the past 9 days to clear our roads of the significant snowfall that left a total accumulation of over 60 cm. A grand total of 1,176 truck loads of snow were removed across the Township and the snow removal operation has ended.
