Take Notice that the Township of King has received complete applications for proposed amendments to the Township of King Official Plan (“Our King”) (2019) and Township of King Zoning By-law 2017-66 (Schomberg and King City Urban Areas), pursuant to Sections 22 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P.13, as amended, to facilitate development on the properties as outlined below.
The Township Planning Division has commenced processing of the applications. A Council Public Planning Meeting will be scheduled and held at a later date, with formal notice being provided pursuant to the statutory requirements of the Planning Act.

Proposed Changes
The subject property is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of King Road and William Street within the Village of King City, and comprises multiple parcels with combined lot area and frontage of 0.56 hectares (1.38 acres) and 71.46 metres, respectively. Existing developments on the lands include vacant parcels and low-density residential and accessory land uses, which are contemplated for demolition as part of the overall development concept.
The applications propose to amend the Township of King Official Plan (“Our King”) (2019) and Township of King Zoning By-law 2017-66 (Schomberg and King City Urban Areas) to facilitate the development of a seven (7) storey residential building with 170 apartment dwelling units and 174 parking spaces located within two levels of underground parking. Access is proposed via a new mid-block connection situated at the north (rear) side of the proposed development.
Proposed amendments include increases in maximum permitted building height and density; increase in maximum permitted lot coverage; reduction in minimum required parking; reductions in minimum required yards and building step backs; and reduction in minimum required bicycle parking space dimensions.
