Registration for recreation programs and swim lessons opens at 7 a.m. on March 10

Township of King, Ont.— Spring, don't be shy! Stay a while. King Township has so much planned for the sunnier (snowless!) days ahead. Paint an acrylic or watercolour, create cartoon animations or program a robot, go dancing and play basketball, badminton, soccer, volleyball and (new) flag football or give it a ‘throw’ at disc golf and archery. Go on an Easter egg hunt, create plant-infused oils to commemorate Indigenous Peoples Day and help decorate the museum with a rainbow of sidewalk chalk during Pride Month. The full listing of programs can be viewed in the new, interactive 2025 Spring & Summer Recreation Guide, available online at king.ca/recreation.

Registration for spring and summer recreation programs opens at 7 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 10 at townshipofking.perfectmind.com. The Township’s online recreation registration system is conveniently available 24/7 and allows you to search for programs by day of the week, age, location and area of interest. Registration can also be completed in-person at the Trisan Centre, Zancor Centre or the King Township Municipal Centre.

Swim lessons and aquatic leadership programs at the Zancor Centre

The spring and summer schedule for swim lessons and aquatic leadership courses at Zancor Centre is now online at townshipofking.perfectmind.com. The facility’s Aqua Tech Solutions Aquatic Centre will offer learn-to-swim lessons for all ages, based on the Ontario Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life program, which features programming for parent & tots, preschoolers, children and adults, as well as private lessons for children ages three to 12. Aquatic leadership programs to train youth for employment as a swim instructor or lifeguard are also available.
