Temporary closure of portion of Main Street sidewalk in Schomberg

As a safety precaution, the eastern sidewalk located along 400 Main Street between Doctor Kay Drive and Western Avenue in Schomberg is closed until further notice, effective immediately.  

Construction plans to replace the deteriorating retaining wall are underway; work is scheduled to begin as soon as possible, following engineering design and issuance of building permits. 

Protective barricades and signage have been erected on site and pedestrians are asked to safely cross at the nearest intersection and use the sidewalk parallel to the construction.
